Can I nominate myself or my own business?
Yes, absolutely. In essence, this means you’re willing to take a stand for doing business with heart, and we admire that.
When will applications be open?
Applications for 2020 will open soon. Subscribe to Get Inspired to stay in the loop and be one of the first to be notified, the moment a new course becomes available.
What are the categories for listing?
Currently, the three key categories for listing are as follows:
- Game Influencers
Businesses who drive sustainability by being human-centric, eco-centric and cause-centric and who ultimately make the world a better place, by being better businesses.
- Influential Leaders
New, responsible leaders who display the traits, courage and heart required to deliver on the SDGs in the ‘age of doing,’ and beyond.
- Game Influencing Women in Business
Aspirational women in business are women who rise by lifting others and who proactively contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality.
Can I apply for listing in more than one category?
Yes, of course! Technically, your business could be a Game Influencer, you could have Influential Leaders in your employment, and you could be one of the Game Influencing Women in Business. To obtain maximum value and exposure from this opportunity, we therefore encourage you to apply for listing in as many categories as you can.
What are the application costs?
The costs to apply is calculated on a market-related sliding scale. Individuals who apply to be listed, for example, will not pay the same as businesses. And the costs for businesses will be determined by their economic classification in terms of size, number of employees and turnover. These costs will be published as soon as applications are open. Is it possible for an SME to be listed?
Yes! For the sake of fairness, all categories for listing will comprise sub-categories, subject to economic classification in terms of size, number of employees and annual turnover. This means an SME will not compete with a medium or large business.
How will applicants be evaluated?
Applications will be evaluated and shortlisted by independent moderators with proven business expertise and the top entries for the leaderboard of each category, will be determined by an independent chartered accounting firm.
To be considered, all applicants must first comply with the application criteria. Those who comply, will then be evaluated at the hand of pre-determined metrics and indices which will be published as soon as applications are open.
These indices and metrics will simply determine to what extent you comply with the prescribed business principles, practices or traits of each category for listing.
The details of the indices and metrics will be published as soon as applications are open. Subscribe to Get Inspired to stay in the loop and be one of the first to be notified, the moment we’re ready.
Must I comply with all the prescriptions to stand a chance to be listed?
Definitely not. At The Game Influencers, we understand that implementing and developing all our prescribed practices, principles and traits will be an ever work in progress. For this reason, we foresee that those people and businesses that make the list and the leader boards of each category, are those who are most compliant. To help our Influencers improve their ranking over time, the indices and metrics for evaluation will be published and we’re establishing an online academy where relevant courses will soon become available to those who would like to make use of it.
